thomsonite
,
heulandite
,
and
others
.
These
species
occur
of
secondary
origin
in
the
cavities
of
amygdaloid
,
basalt
,
and
lava
,
also
,
less
frequently
, in
granite
and
gneiss
. So
called
because
many
of
these
species
intumesce
before
the
blowpipe
.
